Privacy Policy — Teleprompter

Teleprompter ("the app") is made by VELOZ ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can control it.
In one paragraph: the app works fully offline with no account. Video and audio you record stay on your device unless you choose to save or share them. We don't run ads, we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we don't sell your data.
1. Information we collect
1.1Account information — only if you sign in
The app starts with an anonymous session and works without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and a user ID from that provider, which we store to identify your account and sync your data across devices.
1.2Scripts
If you're signed in, your scripts are synced to our database (hosted on Supabase) so they're available on your other devices. If you never sign in, scripts stay only on your device.
1.3Camera, microphone and recordings
The app uses your camera and microphone to record video while you read your script. Recordings are processed and stored locally on your device, and are only saved to your Photos library or exported when you choose to do so. We never upload your recordings to our servers.
1.4Speech recognition
The app uses on-device speech recognition — Apple's or Android's engine — to scroll your script in time with your voice. This audio is processed on your device and is not sent to us or stored.
1.5Purchases
Subscription purchases are handled by Apple's App Store and processed by RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We receive your purchase and entitlement status and a user ID (linked to your account, if you are signed in) so your subscription can be restored across devices. We never see your payment details.
1.6Notifications and product usage
If you allow notifications, we use OneSignal to send them and to record basic product events — for example that onboarding started, a script was created, or a recording was completed — along with simple account tags such as your plan type and script count. This is used to send relevant notifications and understand feature usage. It never includes your script content or your recordings.
2. How we use information
We use the information above only to operate core app features (recording, script sync, voice-following scroll), manage your account and subscription, and send you notifications you've opted into.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
3. Third-party services
The app relies on these service providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:

4. Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account, which permanently erases your account and everything synced to it.
Recordings that were never uploaded — which is all of them — simply live in your device's storage or Photos library, and are deleted the same way as any other file or photo.
5. Children's privacy
Teleprompter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
6. Your choices
- You can use the app without ever creating an account.
- You can revoke camera, microphone, speech recognition or notification permissions at any time in your device Settings.
- You can sign out or delete your account from within the app.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
